Bagsværd Church by Jørn Utzon Interior

The Bagsværd Church is one of not too many buildings that Danish Jørn Utzon has realised in his home country.
The Bagsværd Church is famous in its own right, featuring a spectacular, vaulted concrete ceiling. My short comment and photos and videos.

Stephen: This tour was exceptional, a highlight of our short trip to Copenhagen. It helped us break out of the most walkable area of the city and see more parts to explore. Asser catered the tour perfectly to our group. I personally did not know much about Danish architecture or even Denmark, and I left the tour impressed and with some insights on what it's like to live or study in Copenhagen. He also answered questions we had about the rest of our trip, being one of the few locals we spent an extended amount of time with and felt comfortable asking. 100% recommend booking this! ✩✩✩✩✩

  • The Danish Jewish Museum in Copenhagen is designed by world famous Daniel Libeskind. It hides behind a solid steel door in one side of the old Royal Library. As a precious jewel in a treasure shrine. . Libeskind’s work carries so much storytelling and interpretation that I would argue that it is sometimes more art than architecture. At least in this case, I think it is safe to say, that the artful expression dominates the functional aspects of his work. . Read more in my blogpost.
