Dorm of the future
The Tietgen Student Housing was developed by Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter as an example of student housing of the future, and the experiment was funded by ‘Nordea-fonden’, a big bank fund.
Community
The primary focus of this project lies on community, the social life and shared spaces within the complex. The circular ground plan equals all residents and organises common spaces and facilities inwards to the court yard, while private units, apartments, is oriented outwards to the surrounding, modernistic grass landscape cut by water canals.
The building opened after some delay in 2007.
